Customer Reviews about The Jewelry ExchangeCustomer Reviews about The Jewelry Exchange - Tuesday, July 20, 2010

After perusing the designs on our website, I realize your reputation is well earned and deserved.  Phenomenal - many quite unique with exemplary attention to detail and a substantial selection to appeal and cater to customers in all price ranges. Will definitely consider Jewelry Exchange for future purchases! Also appreciate the information available to educate website visitors and the option to create or customize designs and pieces. Impressive!
John W.

I called the toll- free # on your website to inquire about a solitaire I'd seen, but sadly it had been sold. I spoke to a rep & they told me about another ring I might be inerested in & that it was also "on sale" (music to a woman's ears!). I ordered it on the spot on Wed. & received it on Fri even though I had the prongs changed to white gold & it had to be sized down. I was shocked! It's beautiful! All my friends are complimenting my gorgeous ring! I'll never buy jewelry anywhere else! The prices & quality are truly unbelievable!
Jill S.

Press Release - Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Tustin, CA  JEWELRY EXCHANGE “ZAPS” THE COMPETITION with the purchase of the newest LMS650 PhotoScribe Cold Laser System for their state of the art factory. This machine is used for laser inscribing diamonds.  It is the only system that is 100% safe for diamonds.

The exciting news for their customers is that they can have a certificate number inscribed on the girdle of a diamond for their security and peace of mind or they can customize the diamond with a personal message for a loved one; the customer decides. The customer approves the image first on screen and then can wait and watch the laser inscribing process that takes only minutes but lasts a lifetime, only at The Jewelry Exchange!

Although the major gem labs do offer the service to the trade, we checked around and The Jewelry Exchange is the only retail operation we could find that actually offers the service on site.   This is a huge advantage to their customers.  They can quickly, safely and securely purchase and personalize their diamond in one visit.  This certainly once again puts The Jewelry Exchange at the forefront of the retail jewelry industry.

The Jewelry Exchange is a division of Goldenwest Diamond Corporation, and has been operating for over 32 years, in the following markets, doing business as The Jewelry Exchange in Los Angeles/Tustin, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, Tampa, Seattle, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Phoenix, Minneapolis, Denver and St. Louis. The company operates as The Jewelry Factory in New York, Detroit, and Cleveland.

Pearl - Wednesday, May 05, 2010

The pearl comes from one of the smallest forms of life, the mollusk. The pearl is a gemstone of great beauty and elegance. The Greeks believe that pearls were tears of joy from the goddess of love. Pearls have been a passion and even an obsession of people throughout the ages. Originally only royalty wore pearl jewelry; eventually pearls were used by all classes of people. The pearl was a favorite of Cleopatra which adorned a lot of her clothing, and favorite garments.   Pearls continue to be looked at as a mark of refinement as well as a symbol of purity. The perfect gift from nature the pearl is suitable for all ages and can be worn not only as jewelry but as decoration on clothing as well.

Topaz - Sunday, November 01, 2009

TOPAZ:  In nature this mineral is most often colorless, though frequently found in shades of yellow, and less commonly of blue and pale green.  It is common practice for topaz to be heat treated to enhance its color.  Sherry colored types from Brazil when carefully heated assume an attractice shade of pink, it is these heat treated stones that provide the majority of the pink specimens found in jewelry.  Topaz takes an exceptionally high polish and is perfect for jewelry as it is an 8 on the hardness scale.

October - Thursday, October 01, 2009

These include white opal (colorless to white body colors), black opal (gray to nearly black body color), and some with an orange body color.  Other varieties without this play of color include transparent material in orange to orange-red called fire opal.  Opal has a hardness of 5 to 6.5.

Jewerly Education - Cut - Wednesday, May 05, 2010

Cutting of a diamond takes extreme precision and patience. Perfectly cut diamonds will reflect light entering from the top or "table," refract the light in a balanced manner throughout the diamond, and exit the light back out through the top portion of the diamond. The quality of a diamonds cut and it's proportions can have a significant affect on its price. To achieve an ideal or perfectly cut diamond, more of the raw material or "rough" is lost in the cutting process, which creates a higher cost for the diamond from the onset of the cutting process. This also explains why all diamonds are not perfectly cut.

16.27ct Round at Jewelry Exchange - Monday, August 10, 2009

We searched and found a 16.27ct Round Brilliant Diamond at Jewelry Exchange for $156,750 and its beautiful!

This spectacular 16-carat stone was named the Sirocco Diamond for the hot winds that blow over North Africa. Legend has it that the original owner of the diamond was en route to meet a potential buyer, when the vehicle he was riding in overturned due to a sudden gust of wind. The beautiful diamond was said to be lost in the sands of the Sahara for many years, until it was mysteriously discovered in the private collection of a reclusive Asian gem collector. The diamond then went through many hands until it came into possession of the Jewelry Exchange during the buyer's recent trip to the Middle East.
